Bhangra is the hottest new fitness program to come along in years! It's a high energy dance workout based on Bollywood/Bhangra style music ! 60 minutes, non-stop, high energy. The more you come the easier it gets. No dance experience required!! They move with passion and relaxed muscles and use lots of energy. The dance moves involve raising the arms above the shoulders. Some of the steps mimic actions related to harvesting. Bhangra dance is based on music from a dhol, folk singing, and the chimta. The accompanying songs are small couplets written in the Punjabi language called bolis. The origins of traditional Bhangra are speculative. Bhangra is related to the Punjabi dance 'bagaa' which is a martial dance of Punjab.
